It’s Friday already and if you haven’t got your weekend organised here’s a heads up on what’s happening locally over this weekend/coming week!

City of Vincent residents will be keen to know that the annual Native Plant Sale is on this Saturday the 11th at the City of Vincent Library from 8:00am to 11:00am. Approx. 5000 Australian Native tubestock plants are available to purchase. Proof of residency is required.

If you or your younger ones love trains the Australian Model Railway Association – Western Australia is open to visitors at their Branch headquarters at 24 Moojebing Street, Bayswater every Saturday afternoon from approx 1:30 to 5:00pm.  Entry is free.

Sunday August 12 is the ECU Mount Lawley & WAAPA Open Day where you’ll be able to see WAAPA students in action in rehearsals, classes and short concerts, speak with staff members about course options, explore the campus, take a backstage tour and attend information sessions.

Also this Sunday (and every second Sunday) the Bayswater Bowling and Recreation Club host the family friendly The Sunday Sessions – Live at the BBRC from 4:00 to 7:00 PM with entertainment from local original bands, cheap drinks and food available for purchase.

And it might not be until the 1st of September but City of Vincent and Perth residents who fancy their baking skills might want to consider registering for this years Perth Community Bake Off. There’s five categories of entry with prizes for each category and entry is free. Deets on their FB event page.
