This week we’re seeing a dog theme, with two events to encourage you to get out and about and spend time with your fur baby (we’re hoping for better weather than forecast…). Or you could sip Gin & eat Cheese. Or both!

Saturday 13 October
Let’s Eat! Saturdays at Riverside. From mid morning to dusk there’ll be a variety of food vans for you and your pooch to try as you enjoy the walk trails and parklands down by river near the ANA Rowing Club, Riverside Gardens, Bayswater.
Parents may want to take advantage of the FREE (Medicare card required) SCWA Freckle Checkle 2018 skin cancer checks for their kids and teens at Skin Check WA in Inglewood. 100% all consultation income for the day will go towards non-profit melanomaWA and ECU Melanoma Research Group.
Sunday 14 October
Dogtober at BSAM is back! It’s the event that attracts the who’s who of locals and their four legged friends. There’s the usual fabulous art market plus lots of activities and fun for the family. Don’t forget to practice those tricks and prepare those outfits for the dog show too. On from 9am to 2pm at the Mary Street Piazza.
Wednesday 17 October
The Beaufort Street Community Centre at 715, Beaufort Street, Mount Lawley is hosting A chat with Sophie Budd + Salad Luncheon from 11am to 12pm where Sophie will chat about her cooking and travel experiences and charity work . Entry is free by the centre is asking for a donation to the Shenton Park Dog Refuge on the date. RSVP’s essential for catering purposes. Details on their FB events page.
Thursday 18 October
The Little Cheese Shop in Bayswater is hosting a Gin & Cheese night from 6pm to 9pm. Tickets (if there’s any left…) are $68. If you miss this one make sure to follow them on FB and put your name down for the next one!
