The footy finals have finished, the Eagles won (Hallelujah!) and normal weekend programming resumes…

Here’s a snippet of what’s on in the ‘hood this weekend.

Friday 5 October

It’s the opening night of the Mount Hawthorn Hawkers Market season. Axford Park will be transformed into a Hawkers Market each Friday from now until the 26th of April (closed January) from 5pm to 8:30pm. With street food from around the world, live music, great community atmosphere and & activities for the kids it makes for a fun & relaxing Friday night out.

Saturday 6 October

It’s also the start of the Spring/Summer season of the The Provedores Market – a monthly celebration of Italian food, drink & culture at 106-110 Hobart Street, Mt Hawthorn from 9am to 5pm. There’s food, entertaining and a fully licensed bar too.

Indoor plants are a theme this week and The Jungle Collective is hosting their popular Huge Indoor Plant Sale from 8am to 4pm Saturday & Sunday. Entry is free but times are controlled and you must have a ticket to attend the sale – details and ticket link on their FB event page.

Monday 8 October

Why not head to Five Bar for Balls Up Bingo from 7 to 9pm hosted by Feminem.  It’s free to play and there are delicious prizes for bingo winners thanks to Weird Science Wines. If you fancy dinner, there’s the house special, Beef Wellington & Wine for just $25.

And that’s a wrap for this weekend! And just a heads up for dog owners that the next Sunday the 14th of October sees the annual Dogtober Event at the Mary Street Piazza from 9am to 2pm – put it in the diary.

Enjoy!
