Here’s a selection of happenings in our ‘hood this coming week/weekend.

Friday September 14

Small business owners and those keen to learn how to better promote and target their facebook advertising can attend a Facebook Marketing Workshop hosted by The Small Business Lounge at 395 Oxford Street, Mount Hawthorn. It’s from 9:30 to 11:30am and tickets are $99. All the details on their FB event page.

Saturday September 15

Perth College is holding a Vintage Fair from 11:00am to 4:00pm. Entry is FREE and there will be a variety of vendors selling clothing, jewellery and food as well as games and fashion parades.

Looking to elevate your mood? The Little Shop of Plenty is hosting a Move your Mood Workshop conducted by Insite Mind from 9:30 to 11:30am. Tickets are $49 and include a free journal.

Have a story to share? Public speaking and storytelling coach Lisa Evans is holding a Share Your Story with Lisa Evans workshop from 12:30 to 4:30pm at Dome in Maylands. Tickets are $97.00

And for something different in the evening, CirQuest Circus is hosting Spring has Sprung! a 3 hour event from 6:00 to 9:00pm at 17 Howlett Street, North Perth. There’ll be special acrobatic and aerial performances and you’ll be able to find out more about their community classes which are offered for both kids and adults. Tickets are either $8 or $10 at the door from 5:30pm or can be purchased online.

Sunday September 16

The City of Vincent is hosting Sustainable House Day where you’ll have the opportunity to visit two outstanding sustainable homes – 13 Union Street North Perth (pictured) and 96 Matlock Street, Mount Hawthorn. It’s from 10:00am to 4:00pm and is a must for those interested in sustainable house design with the designers on site to answer questions. Entry is FREE.
