We’re finally expecting a weekend of perfect Spring weather – hooray! How are you going to spend it? Here’s some ideas for hanging out in the ‘hood this coming weekend/week:

Friday 26 October

The Astor Theatre is hosting the first ever Naidoc Music Awards to recognise and celebrate up and coming indigenous music talent in WA. Tickets and details on their FB events page.

Saturday 27 October

Dads of kids 5 and under may want to check out PlayDads at the Bayswater Family Centre in Murray Street, Bayswater. It’s a facilitated playgroup with activities and crafts for men with children 0 to 5 that runs for 2 hours from 10:30am. Cost is only $5 and bookings are essential. Call on 9370 5205 to register.

Halloween kicks off early with the K9 Collective Spooky Pupper Pawty from 6:30 to 7:30pm. Entry is by gold coin donation (you must register to attend via their FB page) and dress ups are encouraged! It’s a fun opportunity to mix & meet up with other local dog owners as well as check out the K9 Collective facilities.

How much is my property worth?
We'll prepare a full appraisal report of your property based on our vast local knowledge and market activity.

Sunday 28 October

WAMFest Live: North Perth is a FREE music event from 3pm – 8pm centred around the Rosemount Hotel, with local acts  spilling out onto the car park for a full-blown local music fiesta. Kids are catered for too with North Perth Town Hall hosting an all ages concert and a silent disco in the alleyway next to Mikld on Angove Street. Check the FB event page for times, bands and other details.

Wednesday 31 October

If you’re not crowd surfing with the entire neighbourhood and cleaning out the locals who throw arguably the best Halloween Street Party in the ‘hood’ – that would be Stuart Street in Minglewood –  you could take the fam to Halloween on Angove St instead. The fun kicks of at 4:30pm and entry is FREE.

And that’s a wrap for this week. Hope you make the most of what we hope are going to be some glorious days. Enjoy!
