Let’s not kid ourselves, this Queens Birthday long weekend is going to be about Footy & the kids nagging you to take them to the Royal Show. If you don’t have tickets to the game, here’s our tips for some fun places to catch the action (sans children) along Beaufort Street as well as some other tips for celebrating our Sovereign this weekend (or just enjoying the extra day off!).

All long weekend…

Starting Friday and Finishing Tuesday, the Queens Hotel is hosting its traditional $10 Mojito and $10 Mumm Queens Birthday – Long Weekend event. I wonder if they’re providing sleeping bags…

Saturday 22 September

Celebrate the official opening of Harvey Leigh’s Public House in Highgate slurping oysters and sipping craft beer whilst catching the Eagles game on one of three big screens.

With $10 Jugs, $7 house spirits, $5.50 wines and $6 Pizzas from siren to siren the Civic Hotel in Inglewood is always a popular venue for footy finals.

The Inglewood Hotel always attracts a big crowd and will have their usual drink and food specials on for the game.

Sunday 23 September

Tuesday 25 September

Is my birthday! And the first person to read this far and leave me a happy birthday comment below wins a bottle of bubbles! Splendid!
