Menora

WA
6050

Protected by covenants that allow only one dwelling per lot across most of the suburb, Menora is where those that eschew subdivision come to reside. Sitting west of the Mount Lawley border and stretching over Alexander Drive, non-locals only enter Menora to go to ECU, the Perth Hebrew Congregation (PHC) Synagogue' or the Alexander Park Tennis Club. The latter is typically pumping on Friday afternoons with Mums enjoying a vino or two while their kids are having lessons.

Designed as a garden suburb, Menora is full of tree-lined streets, pocket parks and stunning heritage homes, including some of Perth’s finest examples of Art Deco architecture. To the North of the suburb, closer to Yokine Reserve and next to Alexander Drive, there is a small section of higher density retirement villages, contributing to the suburb’s high median age of 53 as opposed to 37 for Mount Lawley.

You’ll fall in love if: you love heritage architecture, gardening, and not living on top of your neighbours.
