Bristol & Bath Antiques & Collectables, which has stood on the corner of Beaufort St & Central Ave for over 13 years, is closing its doors. Owner Kaye says that they only have a few months left on their lease and that the owner of the building itself has plans to lease the space as a restaurant. Kaye will be taking a few months off to find new, probably smaller, premises to trade from but will continue to sell her antiques and collectables through her popular on-line store, www.bristolandbathantiques.com.au. When I popped in this week I took advantage of their moving sale to pick up some discounted antique tea and coffee cups to add to my collection – so if you haven’t popped in for a while now is probably a good time to do it. We’ll keep you up-to-date with where Kaye moves to as well as what replaces her on this well known corner.
