Mount Lawley is set to get its first Christmas Festival and Beaufort Street its own lit Christmas Tree on Sunday the 29th of November.
Starting at a very sociable 4:00pm and carrying through to 9:00pm, the Festival will stretch from St Patrick’s Church on the Corner of First Avenue down to 2nd Avenue Plaza and the IGA with Gallery Unchartered Collective also joining in.
Wanting to make it a true community event with something for everyone, it will have rides, activities and a petting zoo for the littlies plus lots of local artisan stalls, food vans, food tasting, live music and a relaxed wine and beer garden for the grown-ups.
But it wouldn’t be a Christmas Festival without carols and a tree. The evening will culminate with Carols by Candlelight supported by a full concert band and the lighting of what will hopefully become the iconic Mount Lawley Christmas Tree, being the 25m pine out the front of the Church thanks to the sponsorship of Acton Mount Lawley (yep, that’s where I work and I’m very proud so had to get that in there!).
