Snapshot of the crowd looking North up Beaufort Street

The 2013 Beaufort Street Festival was easily the biggest and best one yet, attracting an estimated 120,000 visitors over the 9 hours for which it ran.  It was a huge credit to the Beaufort Street Network, JumpClimb and all the sponsors and volunteers who support and stage the event.

The Shady Shack on Mary Street – why would’t you?!

Highlights for me were the Shady Shack (who doesn’t want an ice cold cider or frozen margarita on a hot, sunny day?!), range of live music & performers, the ever popular Dog Show, Bouncing Orange Food Stage, larger number of of Kids Activities spread throughout the street, street performers (I didn’t envy the Star Wars people!) and art and pop up events dotted throughout. Here are some pics I took on the day but also check out the Festival’s Facebook page to check out the official photos and see if you can spot yourself in the crowd.

I wasn’t envying these guys in the 37 degree midday heat…

Old McDonald’s Farm was just one of a much larger range of kid focused activities up and down the street this year

Bouncing Orange Food Stage

The Bouncing Orange Food Stage played host to a number of cooking demonstrations and competitions and was a new addition to the Festival programme.

Beaufort Realty Chill out Lounge

The Beaufort Realty Chill Out Lounge – where festival goers listened to live music and later in the day bopped away at the “silent” disco with the tracks only audible via headphones – very cool.
