The temporary fencing is down, the plants are in and the 2nd Avenue Plaza on the corner of Second Ave and Beaufort Sts in Mt Lawley is being fitted out and looks ready to open for business soon.  According to its website, 2nd Avenue Plaza will house a Super IGA, the Red Cray Restaurant, Pierrot’s Hair Studio and a Barber. There are further retail tenancies still available.  Personally, I’m looking forward to an IGA on the West side of Beaufort Street – much handier to pop into as I’m heading home after work in the evenings.  There’s reportedly 97 parking bays on site so hopefully parking won’t be an issue and the local residents not too affected by its opening.
